£2 Million for charities in under an hour.

The Big Give saw £2 million pounds generated for charity in just under an hour.

Charities who registered on The Big Give website on the 1st December received a match of upto £5000 pounds.

Matched donations finished when the £1 million matched fund was exhausted.

The £1million was donated by The Reed Foundation. The decision to support all Big Give charities comes at a time when many fundraisers are worried about hitting the high end-of-year targets.

Jon Brooks, Managing Director of The Big Give, commented, "We hope that the generosity of the Reed Foundation will encourage more donors to start matched giving on The Big Give."

Charities can no longer apply for this special BigGive occasion but can still register their details with the BigGive to enhance donations and fundraising at www.theBigGive.org.uk.
